A lot of work goes into building the Volt. Now, most electric battery powered cars that sit in the sun have their batteries heat up. Now, the batteries will be cool, but the inside can be as high as 200 Degrees, and even higher after that. So, the 200 degree test was performed on the Volt to see how it would handle it.
