Google, what don’t we love about it? They have anything we can think of. Except an electricity power service. Well, that’s not a problem anymore! Soon, Google could be your next electricity provider! On December 16th, Google had formed a new subsidiary and moved into the state of Delaware. The name of the subsidiary: Google Energy. Then, they requested the authority to buy and sell wholesale electricity. What do we make of this?
Well, the services aren’t going to be free, we know that for sure. I think most of their
free services stop beyond the internet. Also, Google wants their power operations to be carbon neutral, so I presume they’ll get into renewable energy. And we can guess that since renewable energy is involved, that there’ll be research on the side. In the past, Google has helped to develop power monitoring software, looked at using electric car batteries to stabilize power grids and hinted at getting involved in renewable energy.
Soon, maybe all of America will GoGoogle (just kidding). But I won’t be surprised to find that some people don’t approve of it, to put it mildly.
